E-IMD has partnered with the Orphan Europe Academy.
The aim of the Orphan Europe Academy is to provide healthcare professionals with the opportunity to increase knowledge, develop new ideas and strengthen scientific collaboration, by developing tailored solutions in training and educational activities.
In the framework of the E-IMD project, Orphan Europe Academy has specifically developed two programmes including organic acidurias (OA’s) and urea cycle disorders (UCD’s):
- E-learning on hyperammonemia
- Behavioral and psychiatric aspects of inborn errors of metabolism, hosted by Pitié-Salpêtrière Hospital and the University Hospital of Rouen, in Paris 23-24 May 2013
- Advanced course on rare and metabolic kidney diseases, hosted by University of Zurich and Bambino Gesù Children's Hospital, in Rome 4-6 October 2013
